My name is Karina, I am a qualified Personal Trainer and the founder of KG Fitness. I love what I do!
I was born in Paris (France) and moved to England 6 years ago in Berkshire.
Being a busy parent, working and having several responsibilities can be challenging and finding time to exercise regularly can be difficult. Years pass and you realise after you have reached your 30s that the aging process has started. As I saw my two girls growing up, I could not see myself losing my capacities and not being able to keep up and be always on top of my life. This was the trigger! From that moment, I have started a positive chain of events.
I have made incremental changes in my lifestyle: first being more mindful of my diet, then I went from short runs (15 mins) 3 times a week to longer runs (45 mins). Afterward, I started going to the gym, hired a personal trainer and this is when everything accelerated: I changed my diet, learned how to exercise properly, using good technique and the right frequency routine, sleeping/recovery time etc.
It paid off in less than 12 weeks: I have improved my body composition, increased my muscle mass, lost fat (more than 1/3) and reshaped my body. It boosted my confidence and I realised that you can transform your body if you put your mind at it.
I have decided to turn my passion into a profession and qualified as a Personal Trainer with the YMCA institute in London because I want to help other people to reach their fitness goals.
Anything is possible. The first step is to change one habit and aim for progression not perfection.
